Reflection 4: How can We Write Differently
America is having different situations in racial injustice and inequality. It happened numerous times to minority groups which President Biden vow to change for America.
The changes would revolve around what made America great by spreading equality in businesses, decreasing police brutality, and trying to minimize racism. President Biden proposal to tie economic standard to racial equity was a direction to the solution to achieve ending discrimination for Black owned businesses.

The former vice president also wants to "help states improve their criminal justice data infrastructure so they can automatically seal criminal records for certain nonviolent offenders." The plan help to close the gap on the impact of unemployment rate toward marginalized groups. The informed order by President Biden signal the end of racial bias in an institutional standards but it's unknown if his vision would excite more minority Americans.
This was the case because the younger minorities don't believe that President Biden deeply understand the experience of racism in America or make a major move to doing more to solve the racial injustice issues instead of the business portion of the issue. As Reverend Al Sharpton (the civil rights leader) put it, "It’s the right direction. I just want to see more, and I intend to push for more."
So far Biden have provide tax credit to poverty stricken groups up to $15,000 dollars for first home buyers. He also appeal or cite two civil right icons, Representatives John Lewis and Reverend C.T. Vivian.
Biden's problem of providing a solution to many racial-based situations stems from racism happening in minorities' daily lives. The events of police brutality comes up often as associated with the former vice president, but the leadership as the president is most significant to lead us through this crisis of racism in America. .
It's a form of being a great leader which a student's opinion states, "In my opinion, I think that a great leader should always be helpful and try to help their community. Firstly, they must have clarity which means that they are clear and concise at all times there is no question of their vision and what needs to be accomplished."
President Biden have to live up to the expectations of accomplishing to the solution of racial injustice to be a great leader for this nation. He is starting off with having a diverse cabinet and a mix racial vice president, Kamala Harris
Reflection On My News Report
My news story of President Biden's vow to change the racial problems with businesses and injustice affects me deeply because the emotion of knowing how writing these types of news reports have a major impact to my race. My news story also focus on leadership which I feel this country needs because we need a true leader like President Biden who could help us through this darkness of racial inequality.
His proposal is a great start that focus on the less privileged minority groups and their equality in financial benefits as white Americans. I feel that Trump's days as president put every marginalized group uneasy because he was poorly handle situations like police brutality and acknowledge extremist groups that personifies racism.
It translates to the journalists news story where I personally believe the controversy to determining whether to use race would create backlash to the public who want to know the individual's skin color. I felt how impactful the situation could be and I will tell the public all the description needed when it's relevant to the news report.
My news story have a huge impact on me with knowing their is a hopeful and positive future that President John Biden has set forth to start his presidential run.
